oh man, I just had a fantastic idea for an angsty fic that I’d like to read, but not write.

Basically, Kurt and Blaine break up, for whatever reason.

(You’re sad already, I know, but shh, it gets better.)

And sometime after they break up, Blaine starts dating one of the other Glee boys. Maybe he helps Artie with his bisexuality crisis. Maybe he and Mike decide to turn their bromance into a romance. It doesn’t really matter who he starts dating, so long as it’s one of Kurt’s friends.

Kurt finds out, and sends Blaine’s new boyfriend an email.

I’m not mad that you’re dating him. We broke up, so he’s free to date whoever he wants. Actually, I’m glad it’s you and not someone like Sebastian, who will only use him. You at least care about him as a person.

Just promise me, please, that you’ll take care of him for me?

And then he has a list of How to Take Care of Blaine. Not like, as if he were a dog take care of him type of list, but more of “how to deal with his emotions and moods” kind of list. It has stuff on there like hug him, often and don’t mention his daddy issues unless you have about three hours for him to vent and if he’s in a bad mood make him coffee in his Spiderman mug andremind him that you love him often because sometimes he doesn’t believe you, just this random assortment of information you learn about someone while your dating, information Kurt finds necessary to share for Blaine’s own happiness.

And at first the boyfriend is really unnerved because, come on, he wanted to find out some of this stuff on his own, but then he learns that it really helps and makes Blaine his usual happy and bubbly self, and they are in love and stuff.

Then Blaine finds the email Kurt sent, and realizes that Kurt cares about him so much that wants him to be able to be happy, even if that’s with someone else.

And then Klaine gets back together or something. Idk.
