Inspired by this quote from Darren Criss:

“[Blaine] built robots, just really handsome guys to surround himself with that believe in his ideals, that sang the songs that he wanted, sang in perfect harmony, did everything that he said, and so he runs the entire school. He is the principal, creator and master of all that is Dalton. And he just programs them to do his every will. The reason why he falls in love with Kurt is that he’s a human being.”

Now I want a fic where Dalton was built by Blaine, only in his head a la Alice in Wonderland. Dalton is literally Blaine’s wonderland. After the Sadie Hawkin’s dance, Blaine was broken—both physically and mentally—and so his therapist suggested for him to make a place in his head where he could feel safe—so he made Dalton, where bullying doesn’t exist, is only filled with attractive guys who don’t really care he’s gay, the Glee Club is actually cool and treated like rock stars, oh, and they made Blaine—a sophomore transfer whose only been there two months—their star singer.

Then Kurt starts appearing, in both Dalton and in the real world. In Dalton, he’s exactly the way he is in canon (fantasy!Blaine being older, confident, attractive, with Kurt having a crush on him) where in the real world Kurt is just a guy who Blaine sees getting coffee occasionally and has a massive crush on, but is too paralyzed by his fears in the Dalton-esque wonderland to actually make a move on him. Slowly though, Kurt starts dragging Blaine out of Dalton and back into the real world, and every time we’ve seen him on the show at McKinley or interacting with people outside of Dalton…those are the “real” world. (Does he sing to Jeremiah but without backup from the Warblers? O.M.G.) Eventually, Kurt drags Blaine back into the real world by the beginning of season 3 when Blaine transfers to McKinley (maybe Real World!Blaine was being homeschooled in season 2?)

At first, everything goes well for Blaine, and he never even thinks to return to wonderland!Dalton, but then he starts to slowly relapse…only now his wonderland is corrupted and different. His Warbler friends are no longer his friends, there isn’t a no-bullying policy, the Warblers use slushies—the one thing Blaine is terrified is going to happen to him at McKinley—as weapons, and worst of all, their new leader is Sebastian, a guy Blaine knows in RL as someone who constantly flirts with him and doesn’t take no for an answer/makes Blaine feel uncomfortable around.

And then I don’t know what happens but gd I would kill to read this fic.
